Best Buddies Pennsylvania invites you to partner with us for a unique opportunity to support your local community while gaining exposure for your organization during an exciting event that combines delicious local food with innovative pieces of local art. Prepare to be delighted by the Life is Sweet Best Buddies Chef Showcase on October 20, 2011 at The Society for Contemporary Craft.
What is Best Buddies Pennsylvania?
Best Buddies is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for social inclusion for people with Down Syndrome, Autism, and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with one-to-one friendship and leadership development programs in middle and high schools and colleges in Western PA.
What is the Life is Sweet Chef Showcase?
The Life is Sweet Chef Showcase is a signature Best Buddies International fundraiser that has had major success in Washington D.C., Dallas, Vegas, and Maui. Life is Sweet is Pittsburgh’s most highly anticipated and delectable new event. This national event will debut in Pittsburgh on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Society for Contemporary Craft in the historical Strip District from 7pm-10pm (VIP exclusive happy hour is 6p-7pm).

How can you help?
As a local organization, we believe in developing partnerships with other local nonprofits to expand a network of supportive services, guidance, and information for those we serve in the disability and non-profit communities.
I’m hoping you can help support the Life is Sweet Chef Showcase by being a Community Champion! Community Champions are the key to our success and growth as an organization. By completing partnering with us, you will be a hero to 22,000 who are impacted annually in Western PA by Best Buddies Pennsylvania. Please take the simple steps below to make an impact.
1. Give others the opportunity to support Best Buddies and the Life is Sweet Chef Showcase by sharing with your network. Forward the event invitation and updates via email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
2. Like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/bestbuddiespa) and follow us on Twitter (www.twitter.com/bestbuddiespa) . Ask your Facebook and Twitter friends to the same. There is also a Life is Sweet event Facebook Page for you to share!
3. Recruit a group from your organization to attend and/or volunteer for Life is Sweet. This is a great opportunity for you to show your organization’s support for other non-profits.
4. Donate an item to the silent auction. A “Community Champion” basket will be created with all of the donated items from our champions to give exposure to and promote the organizations that are helping BBPA.
5. BUY AN EVENT TICKET! Visit www.bestbuddiespennsylvania.org/lis to purchase regular tickets for $60 or VIP for $75.
