It’s been a while since I’ve tried any new restaurants in Pittsburgh. I’ve gone out to eat many times- I’ve just been dining at my regular spots.
If you haven’t been to Biddle’s Escape in Regent Square, you’re missing out. The quaint (but busy) coffee shop is a haven for poets, writers, artists, and other creative types. It’s also a fantastic place to get a real cup of coffee.

Thai Cottage now occupies the space that Green Mango once did. The ambiance is similar to that of the former eatery- minimal décor ornamented the walls; soft ethnic music played in the background.
At 94 Center Church Road, just a stone’s throw away from Route 19 sits a house. In this house is Center Plate restaurant that has become the home of a brilliant combination of tastes; both “diner” and “finer.” The cornerstone of this restaurant is the all-in-one concept under one roof.
Some people say that the suburbs can’t match the city as far as innovative and exciting restaurants go. I am not one of those people. That’s because I don’t say it, I scream it!

I had the opportunity to have dinner at the new Bonefish Grill in the South Hills. It was opening night, and the place was packed with hungry patrons anxious to sample the cuisine.
