Rice Krispies Treats Recipe
Everyone loves Rice Krispies Treats. There are many different recipes for this dessert- this is mine. It’s extra gooey, buttery, and delicious.
Prep time 1 hour Serves 12 You will need 1 9 X 13 baking dish, 1 large soup pot, 1 rubber spatula, non-stick cooking spray Ingredients 1.5 boxes Rice Krispies (12 ounce size) ½ cup salted butter 4 bags mini marshmallows Directions Place 1 stick of salted butter in a large soup pot- once it is melted, add 4 packs of mini-marshmallows and cook VERY slowly over low heat. Add the Rice Krispies and stir, making sure all of the cereal gets coated. Next, place all of the mixture in a deep 9 X 13 baking dish- (you can find these at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Target, and K-Mart). Coat a rubber spatula with Pam- any non-stick pan coating will do here. Pat down the mixture until it is even with the top of the pan. Place the treats in a fridge for at least 1 hour. Remove the pan, and run hot water over the bottom- this will heat the fat, and help release the dessert from the pan. Place the treats on a cutting board, and cut with a large chef’s knife.
Enjoy!
