Chocolate Covered Bacon
Chocolate Covered Bacon
Yeah, you heard me… chocolate covered bacon. For dessert? Sure. For breakfast? Yup. After a morning run? Why not.
1 pound of thick-cut bacon (visit your butcher!) 8 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate, chopped Directions: Place the bacon on a well-greased cookie sheet lined with aluminum foil. Put in a pre-heated, 350 degree oven, and bake until brown and crispy, approximately 15 minutes. Remove from the pan, drain on paper towels and let cool completely. In a shallow glass bowl, place the chopped chocolate. Put in the microwave on high, and heat for 1 minute. Remove from the microwave and stir. Return to the microwave, and repeat this process until the chocolate is fully melted. Dip the cooked product in the chocolate so that it becomes fully coated, then place on aluminum foil. Refrigerate until the chocolate has set, around 15-20 minutes. East as much as you can as fast as you can.
