Orange Chocolate Cookies
Orange and Chocolate have always been one of my favorite flavor combinations. If you’ve never combined citrus zest and cocoa before, this Orange Chocolate Cookie recipe will surely please your palate!
Makes 3 Dozen Cookies Pre heat oven to 350 degrees Ingredients: 1 cup unsalted butter 1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup lightly packed brown sugar 3 tablespoons orange zest 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 2 large eggs 3 cups unbleached flour 1 tablespoon baking soda 1 teaspoon Kosher or sea salt 2 cups good quality dark chocolate chips Directions: Cream together the butter, sugar and brown sugar. Add the eggs, orange zest, and vanilla extract- mix thoroughly. Sift together the flour, baking soda and sea salt- add to the wet mixture and blend. Add the chocolate chips- mix thoroughly. Drop the dough on a cookie sheet by the tablespoonful- leave approximately 1.5 inches between the dough balls. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes until the edges become lightly brown. Let cool and eat!
