If you haven’t had fresh-roasted garlic, you’re missing out. Roasted garlic is simple to prepare, is good for you, and has a myriad of uses. Don’t be worried about garlic-breath either- these bulbs are sweet, and aromatic. Caramelized nuggets of garlic can be used in sauces, or spread as-is on fresh bread with soft butter.
Roasted Garlic
Prep time 1 hour
Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Serves 6-8
Ingredients
25-30 bulbs peeled garlic bulbs
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 tablespoons fresh-cracked black pepper
Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix, making sure all of the garlic bulbs are evenly coated with the olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Place the garlic on a sheet of aluminum foil and seal.
Put the sealed garlic on a cookie sheet and place in a 325-degree oven for 1 hour.
Remove the garlic from the oven and let cool for 20 minutes.
Eat and enjoy!
