Uno Chicago Grill, Waterfront
Uno Chicago Grill, Waterfront, PA
The Waterfront is always bustling with hungry diners on Saturday night. This particular evening, it was a balmy 91 degrees in the shade, so we weren’t surprised that there were plenty of outside tables available at Uno Chicago Grill.
As the sun cooked my face, I ordered a large soda water with lime, and checked out the menu selections. There was large variety of pizzas (thin crust, thick crust, deep dish, flatbreads) as well as chicken, pasta, and a respectable selection of gluten free offerings.
Though it was a pizza-place, I opted for the Bacon-Cheddar Burger- medium please. Also ordered: Chicken Fingers with French Fries, Honey Mustard and Barbecue Sauce, and a Mixed Greens Salad with Goat Cheese, Glazed Walnuts and Low Fat Blueberry-Pomegranate Dressing.
A pair of baby songbirds waited under our table for their dinner, so of course, I had to accommodate them. The table next to us had just left, so I grabbed a few scraps and fed our feathered friends. They happily gobbled up their dinner, and hung out with us for the remainder of our stay.
Our meals came quickly, and were quite good. My burger was flame-broiled medium, and was served with a small portion of fries, garlic mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes, and a pickle. I opted out of the bun, but devoured the fresh meat that was topped with a gooey layer of melted cheddar cheese, and thick-cut bacon. The mixed greens salad was fresh, and the low fat blueberry-pomegranate dressing was surprisingly flavorful. A large platter of golden brown chicken fingers was quickly gobbled up with no complaints.
Our dining experience at Uno Chicago Grill was pleasant. The food was good, and the service was excellent. The view of the river was spectacular as well. If you’re looking for some quality food at the Waterfront this weekend, give Uno Chicago Grill a visit- it won’t disappoint.
