At 94 Center Church Road, just a stone’s throw away from Route 19 sits a house. In this house is Center Plate restaurant that has become the home of a brilliant combination of tastes; both “diner” and “finer.” The cornerstone of this restaurant is the all-in-one concept under one roof.

Catering

This is the “go-to” neighborhood spot. The all-encompassing restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner; it’s traditional home-cooking with a twist. Chef Matt Helon and pastry Chef Jeffrey Hirsh bring talent to the table. Both chefs hold accolades for their award winning dishes and desserts. Patrons can expect casual diner menu choices like Eggs, Pancakes, Burgers, and Pot Roast but surprisingly, peppered into the mix are enticing specials like Lobster Omelets dressed in a Cajun Cream Sauce, Spinach and Artichoke Chicken tossed in a scratch-made Alfredo sauce clinging to Cavatappi pasta, or a Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake sitting on an Oreo crust decorated with huge Chocolate Truffles.

Center Plate was recently featured in Pittsburgh Restaurant Week as well as the Symphony of Food. Both events were an expose of the expansive capabilities of the team who are the foundation of this concept. If the menu choices aren’t enough to keep one satisfied, there are several in-house events in which everyone can experience the exceptional and creative menus. Lent, Valentine’s Day weekend, and a Wine and Food Lovers will feature items from comfortable to unique such as hand-breaded fish for Fish Fry Fridays during Lent to Crab stuffed Shrimp Mac and Cheese.
