Noodles and Company
When it was suggested that we go to Noodles and Company in Monroeville, I was skeptical. It was the middle of the afternoon, and I didn’t want pasta, but something lighter. Turns out, the restaurant has a large selections of light, fresh salads as in addition to a vast selection of pasta.
Noodles and Company is very similar to fast food restaurants in that you walk up to a counter to order your food. There’s a large menu on the wall as you walk in, and behind the cash register as well. I really like that all of the menu choices were accompanied with pictures, and nutritional content.
I was tempted by the noodle bowls, but chose the New Chicken Veracruz Salad that contained mixed greens topped with Roma tomato, red onion, chili-lime chicken, naturally-raised bacon, fresh-cut corn, tossed with Jalapeno Ranch dressing and crispy jalapenos, fresh California avocados and cilantro S / 510 calories. Also ordered was the Wisconsin Cheesesteak with naturally raised steak, Mac & Cheese sauce, cheddar and jack cheese, red onion, red bell pepper and mushrooms on a petite baguette, served with a side Caesar salad, 580 calories, and Spicy Beef Korean Noodles with Ramen noodles topped with a sweet and spicy Korean-style Gochujang sauce, naturally raised steak, Napa and red cabbage, Asian sprouts, spinach, topped with cucumber, green onions and cilantro S 490 | 900 calories.
After you order your food you’re assigned a number ad the food is delivered to your table. Of meals arrived in 5 minutes, and were fresh and delicious.
