A few days ago we read an article about Silvi’s Southside Kitchen. A new Mexican restaurant owned and operated by a fellow Texan. Bingo, I thought, maybe someone who makes food like what I grew up on and crave. So we searched for their website online and found the menu to be what we wanted. But the question was, would it taste like home.

We stopped into Mekong Asian Restaurant on Potomac Avenue after a movie premier for some late night chow. Asian food is delicious and always appropriate when you have the late-night munchies.

I’ve been to a lot of different seafood restaurants in and around town, but somehow, McCormick and Schmick’s had eluded me- until now. I had the opportunity to have lunch at the seafood restaurant in the Southside Works, and let me tell you, it was delicious.

Giovanni’s Pizza, Pittsburgh, PA

When my extended family gets together for dinner out, we usually require a private room. We’re not obnoxious, but we do like to be loud and expressive. On Saturday night my cousin Chris was in town, and we decided to meet at Walnut Grove in Fox Chapel.

Thursday evening I had the pleasure of attending one of Taste’s private tastings.

Guardian Construction Management Services oversaw the two-month renovation project and Edge Studio provided architectural support. Renovations include a completely renovated main dining area with brasserie-style mirrors and lighting as well as original artwork by French photographer Bertrand Celce, local Pittsburgh photographer, Hilary Robinson and other original artwork selected by Michael Hertrich of La Fond Galleries on the South Side.

I’ve had the opportunity to eat at the Bagel Factory in Squirrel Hill many times.
