World’s Best Peanut Butter Cookies
Peanut butter cookies bring back good memories for me as a kid- I can remember coming home from school, and finding fresh cookies on a plate that my mother had baked. ย This peanut butter cookie recipe is fantastic.
Serves 8-10
Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees
Ingredients:
1 cup creamy peanut butter
ยฝ cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
2 large eggs
2 ยผ cups unbleached flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Directions:
Place the peanut butter, butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in a mixing bowl. Beat the ingredients until they are light and fluffy, approximately 90 seconds. Add the two eggs, beat until fully mixed.
Sift the flour with the baking soda and salt. Add to the wet mixture and mix until incorporated.
Using a scooper, place round balls of the dough on a baking sheet covered with a silpat, or wax paper, 1.5 inches apart.
Using the palm of your hand, gently press on the balls of dough.
Make a criss-cross pattern on the cookie dough with a fork.
Place in a 375 degree oven, and bake for approximately 12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies become brown.
Enjoy!

I dunno Chuck, those look good, but I think my gluten free PB cookies could give these guys a run for their money…. =)

Lets not say yours are better, then add links to another site. That is not respectful. Just say that they are ok, or something, dont plug your own crap.
the fact you added “gluten free” means that there is no way in this or any other universe yours are better. thanks for playing though
watcha talkin’ about Sparky?
Um, Lady, sorry to say but I think that’s pretty standard behaviour on blogs (i.e. nice comment followed by a suggestion to look at a related link) and I don’t think there was any disrespect intended – S didn’t say they were better, just that her gluten-free version could be as good ๐
And yes, these cookies do look great!
The fact that they plugged gluten free cookies is lame. They will never be as good as these. Extra Gluten… that’s right. Can’t wait for this ridiculous fad to be over. People are stupid… unless they ACTUALLY can’t have gluten.
Coeliac disease is incredibly common in the United States. Then only known treatment is a gluten-free diet.
Besides that, many of the gluten free items in our shop taste better and have a much better consistency than their gluten present alternatives.
These cookies do look delicious, though! especially if some chopped peanuts and peanut butter chips were added!
It was rude. These cookies look DELICIOUS! ๐
I don’t think S was being rude. I appreciate links to gluten-free recipes that are delicious. I am not gluten- intolerant, but have a friend and a niece that both have celiac disease. I like it when I’m looking for recipes for myself, but stumble on something I can try for them. Gluten-free recipes could never compete with gluten-filled ones (imho) so it wasn’t as if S was bashing thses for his.
I really love the recipe, love to share it with my kids and relative. Just sorry for me, peanut got a uric acid. Bad for my arthritis. I really appreciate your idea of preparing food. Nice job admin!
Those look really good I think I will give this one a try. I’ve been wanting to try something different. Why is it so hard for people to say something nice.

My “normal ” kitchen ofen makes 240 as max.
This is meant to be 375 deg Fahrenheit… which is equal to 190 deg Celsius ๐
Can you just add some fiinely chopped peanuts to this recipe without changing any other ingreidents?
