Kaya, Pittsburgh, PA

After attending an event in the Strip, I decided to get a bite to eat with a fellow attendee. We weren’t looking for anything too formal, but were interested in getting some quality fare. I had been to Kaya many years ago, and remembered having a good experience, so we stopped in.

Parkhurst, the food service and Restaurant Company best associated with the Smiley Face Cookie has been branching out in recent years. New concepts are popping up in the area with not a single Superburger on the menu. One of these new concepts can be found in Schenley Plaza. The Porch at Schenley

Whole Foods Market, Pittsburgh, PA

I don’t shop at Whole Foods on a regular basis because it’s not geographically desirable. There’s a Giant Eagle a few blocks from my house, so I buy most of my food there.

Dell’s Sundae Grill, Munhall PA

There’s a small, quaint ice cream shop at Farragut Street in Munhall. It’s not new by any stretch of the imagination. The small building that houses the precious soft-serve ice cream machines has been around for years. In fact, I can remember going when I was a kid, and that was, well- a while ago. If you ask Munhallers where to get soft-serve they will all tell you the same thing: Dells.

I got take-out from China House in Swissvale. I was tired of pizza (not really) and wanted to try some Chinese for a change. I love General Tso’s and Almond Chicken. I called around 6ish, and my food was ready in 15 minutes.
