I enjoy Italian food… a lot. Rich melted cheeses, lasagna, pasta, red sauce and meatballs- what’s not to like? I had never heard of Roman Bistro on Ardmore Boulevard until today- apparently I’ve been out of the Italian restaurant food-loop for quite some time.
Roma Bistro is a large restaurant, with a seating capacity of 150. Upon entry you can’t help but notice the large bar stretches half the length of the front eating area. Another, more private dining area is located past the bar, ideal for private gatherings.
At 94 Center Church Road, just a stone’s throw away from Route 19 sits a house. In this house is Center Plate restaurant that has become the home of a brilliant combination of tastes; both “diner” and “finer.” The cornerstone of this restaurant is the all-in-one concept under one roof.
A few days ago we read an article about Silvi’s Southside Kitchen. A new Mexican restaurant owned and operated by a fellow Texan. Bingo, I thought, maybe someone who makes food like what I grew up on and crave. So we searched for their website online and found the menu to be what we wanted. But the question was, would it taste like home.
