I got take-out from China House in Swissvale. I was tired of pizza (not really) and wanted to try some Chinese for a change. I love General Tso’s and Almond Chicken. I called around 6ish, and my food was ready in 15 minutes.

Chef Chuck recently had some questions for me about eating gluten-free. As someone who has been happily living a life of gluten free-dom for over 7 years now, I was happy to give some helpful hints to Chef.
Even though I don’t believe in resolutions, I am going to try and stop eating gluten in the New Year. My sister and niece have celiac, so chances are, I may have some predisposition to the stuff myself.
The holidays are upon us, and it’s time to start cooking. My family usually eats the same thing- caviar (domestic of course!), shrimp, French bread, and other snacks… there’s also always plenty of good chocolate and chilled champagne to go around.

If you’re attending a weekend brunch Saturday or Sunday morning, don’t expect your server to be too lively. It’s likely that he/she was out the night before partying it up. Foodservice employees work hard, and often party as hard as they work- especially on the weekends.
