Ristorante Arlecchino is located at 133 Camp Lane, in Mcmurray, PA. Previously a schoolhouse, the restaurant embodies comfort, and old-world charm. The main dining room is inviting and warm, with an open kitchen where you can see the talent at work.
Growing up in Southern California, there were always plenty of authentic Mexican restaurants to choose from. Besides having plenty of choices for great ethnic food, San Diego possessed another appealing geographical lure…it was only 40 miles from Mexico.
Every year when winter rolls around, it’s time to make soup at work. Frigid from plummeting temperatures, clients and staff want warm, flavorful liquids to defrost their bones.
We arrived at Pangea in Shadyside at 7pm on a Saturday night. There were a plethora of seats available; that made us nervous. Its peak hour, why weren’t there more patrons here? We were shown to a table, and our drink orders were taken. My dinner mate had the house Cabernet; it was sweet, and peachy with a fruit bouquet-perfect. Unfortunately, we didn’t ask what the house-brand was… sorry. As we looked over our menus, our server arrived with some warm bread and butter. The doughy concoction was sweet and extra crusty; exceptional.
