I started making green drinks a few weeks back. I usually start craving coffee at noon, so I’ve been trying to replace the caffeine with green, leafy veggies. This drink is easy to make, and provides a nice spike of energy!
I came up with this flavorful, delicious recipe for a beer tasting we had at the club. Thai Cilantro Dipping Sauce is perfect for chicken, pork, white fish, and grilled vegetables.
Mango Salsa with Strawberries and Pineapple is simple to make, and delicious. This particular salsa goes perfectly on grilled fish, and chicken. If you’re a vegetarian or vegan, simply lap it up with some fresh tortilla chips!
Fresh Garden Tomato Salsa
Every year I plant tomatoes in my back yard. The past two years my yield has been fantastic. This season the tomatoes were robust, and perfectly sweet.
Arugula is my favorite lettuce because of its natural spiciness. It’s perfect for seared salmon salads, and light, sweet vinaigrettes. Arugula is easily transformed into pesto, which can be used on a large variety of sandwiches (paninis especially), chicken, and fish.
I’m a HUGE fan of the avocado. If I were ever going to get a tattoo, it would be of this delicious, rich, oily fruit. Avocados are rich and luxurious… they go well on sandwiches, omelets, and salads.
